Hohhot promotes development of key projects in Q1-3

This year, Hohhot in Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been focusing on achieving the target of implementing over 1,100 key projects with an investment of over 120 billion yuan ($16.4 billion).
By the end of September, the city had resumed work on 1,100 key projects, with a total investment of 109.2 billion yuan. The investment scale has increased by 13.2 billion yuan compared to the same period last year, achieving over 90 percent of the annual plan.
Of the total, 519 major projects at the regional level have made rapid progress, with a completed investment of 98.7 billion yuan and a progress rate of 95 percent, surpassing the average level.
Currently, 64 major industrial projects have been completed and put into operation. Additionally, 215 key livelihood projects, such as the Third Ring Expressway, East Passenger Terminal North Square, and a batch of old residential area renovations, have been completed and put into use.
From January to September, fixed asset investment in the city continued to see high growth, with a year-on-year increase of 32.5 percent, surpassing the annual target by 22.5 percentage points. It has maintained a growth rate of over 30 percent for nine consecutive months, higher than the national and regional average levels, reflecting strong investment growth momentum.
