Hohhot city – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has launched and implemented 288 "six major industrial clusters" projects this year.
They have an annual planned investment of 56.2 billion yuan ($7.72 billion), with a scheduled capital expenditure of 41.6 billion yuan in the first three quarters.
Among these, a green agricultural and animal product processing industry cluster has focused on promoting 94 projects such as the Hongfu Modern Agricultural Industrial Park.
The new materials and modern equipment manufacturing industry cluster, the biopharmaceuticals industry cluster, the electronic information technology industry cluster, the clean energy industry cluster and the modern chemicals industry cluster have all introduced a large number of key projects.
What's more, Hohhot has rolled out multiple measures to promote the accelerated construction of key projects, issuing 20 measures for a fast review and processing of key projects.
This year, the city innovatively introduced a smart scheduling and management platform for key projects – implementing full lifecycle management of projects and further speeding up project construction there.
According to statistics, in the first half of this year, the growth rate of fixed asset investment in Hohhot ranked first among provincial capital cities. Moreover, the growth rate of industrial added value above a certain scale ranked second among provincial capital cities.
