Hohhot city – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has been continuously improving its urban functions and enhancing its quality of life in recent years.
To bring prime medical resources closer to the people, it's bolstering the core competitiveness of its public hospitals.
Hohhot is accelerating the construction of a national regional medical center and a branch of the national medical center. At the same time, it is strengthening cooperation with leading specialized hospitals outside the region and is vigorously developing key specialties.

In order to promote high-quality economic development and create more employment opportunities, Hohhot is leveraging six major industrial clusters to create main channels for employment.
Moreover, it is focusing on the various stages of production in each industrial cluster and recruiting graduates from universities and skilled workers to promote employment through the development of large industries.
It is also creating an ever-appealing environment to attract talent to the city.
In addition, Hohhot has issued the "18 Measures to Attract and Retain Talents in Hohhot" policy.
This focuses on the needs of two major groups: young college students and employees who come to work in Hohhot. It spotlights employment, housing, education, medical care and other aspects – proposing 18 measures in four areas – and endeavors to attract and retain talent.
