Yili Group, a leading Chinese dairy company, has expanded its international presence by entering the African market.

Recently, one of its subsidiaries, Joyday Ice Cream, was launched in Dar es Salaam, the largest city in Tanzania.

It is now available in 65 mainstream supermarkets there, including the popular Shoppers chain. Joyday Ice Cream has already gained widespread praise from local consumers for its excellent quality, innovative products, and strong brand image.

Yili has become the only Chinese dairy enterprise to enter the Tanzanian market.

Produced in Yili's Indonesian factory, Joyday Ice Cream travels over 7,450 kilometers across the Indian Ocean to reach Tanzania.

To maintain a constant temperature of minus 20 C throughout the journey, Yili has installed a digital temperature monitoring system in every transportation link.

Furthermore, Yili has closely collaborated with local ports and logistics suppliers in both Indonesia and Tanzania to enhance clearance efficiency.

Africa is one of the world's largest emerging markets, with vast development potential.

Tanzania, which joined the Belt and Road Initiative in 2018, is the third-largest economy in East Africa and one of the fastest-growing countries in Africa.

Yili sees Tanzania as a starting point to cultivate the local market and gradually expand to other African countries.

This foray into the African market is yet another step forward in Yili's internationalization strategy.

The company's success in Tanzania demonstrates its commitment to delivering high-quality products and building a globally recognized brand.

Yili's entry into Africa signifies its determination to tap into new markets and contribute to the development of the continent's dairy industry.
