The Beijing-Hohhot skiing special train embarked on its inaugural journey on Dec 15, carrying snow enthusiasts from all over the country for an ice and snow adventure directly to Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
As the host city for the mass competitions of the 14th National Winter Games, Hohhot aims to further enrich the participation of residents and surrounding areas in winter sports and tourism.
The newly decorated special ski train is filled with elements of ice and snow and the characteristics of Hohhot city. It operates one train per day. Upon arrival at Hohhot East Station, passengers can take the dedicated bus to Mazongshan Ski Resort, where they can deeply experience the charm of winter sports in Hohhot.
Hohhot boasts abundant tourism resources, and this winter, Mazongshan Ski Resort, and other locations have prepared 14 themed activities for skiing enthusiasts, including the "Ice and Snow Christmas," "Snow Fireworks Show," and "Spring Festival Carnival."
Additionally, innovative tourism routes have been introduced, featuring the debut of the Penguin Family Ice and Snow Show, the longest 300-meter ice slide, exquisite ice sculptures with a volume of over 10,000 cubic meters, more than 100 interactive ice and snow performances, and over 20 ice and snow activities for visitors to enjoy.
