China-Russia-Mongolia ice hockey tournament opens in Hohhot

The 2024 China-Russia-Mongolia International Youth Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament kicked off in Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Jan 22.
Six teams from Russia, Mongolia, and China participated in the competition. The tournament adopted a round-robin format, featuring a total of 15 games over five days. Each day featured three games. The closing ceremony is scheduled for the afternoon of Jan 26.
The competition's organizing committee is committed to providing comprehensive support for the event. Efforts are being made to ensure that the ice hockey invitational tournament becomes a distinctive, exciting, and memorable sports event that promotes development, cooperation, and exchange.
Leveraging the momentum of the 14th National Winter Games and the International Ice Hockey Invitational Tournament, the Hohhot sports department aims to capitalize on its position as a regional central city. It seeks to continuously improve its facilities, enhance its service quality, and improve public participation in ice and snow sports. The goal is to make ice and snow sports more fashionable to the broader population.
