Han Mei wins silver in World Speed Skating Championships

On Feb 19, Beijing time, Han Mei, an athlete from Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, clinched the silver medal in the women's 1500-meter event at the 2023-2024 ISU World Single Distances Speed Skating Championships.
This year's championship was held in Calgary, Canada, and Han finished the event with a time of 1:52.72.
This achievement marks her second national record-breaking performance at the championship, following her silver in the women's 1000-meter event. Additionally, she secured fifth place in the women's team pursuit and seventh place in the women's 3000-meter, making her the only athlete to enter the top eight in all four events.
Han's outstanding performance showcased her exceptional skills and determination on the international stage. Her consistent efforts and record-breaking feats have solidified her position as a rising star in the world of speed skating.
