On April 12, Inner Mongolia Beixing Industrial Investment Development Co completed customs procedures for a batch of organic alfalfa grass worth $115,200, all without physically moving the goods out of the warehouse.
This direct completion of account book reduction signifies the formal implementation of the "intra-zone direct transfer" service for classified supervision of goods in the Hohhot Comprehensive Bonded Zone. It marks the first of such service in Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The "classification-based supervision of warehoused goods" is one of the innovative supervision measures promoted by the General Administration of Customs. Intra-zone direct transfer further optimizes this type of supervision, allowing for the conversion of non-bonded goods declared as bonded goods or bonded warehoused goods. This management mode permits direct increase or decrease of customs account books after customs clearance without the physical movement of goods through checkpoints.
Under this model, customs personnel can supervise the goods intended for transfer within the "inspection waiting area" that is established by enterprises. They will do this using data for supervision instead of physical goods movement, thereby saving transportation costs and time at checkpoints while also enhancing overall efficiency for businesses.
