Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – has organized a raft of thrilling events for the upcoming Dragon Boat Festival holiday.

It's set to host over 120 lively and pulsating cultural and tourism events, boosting its identity as a center for northern Chinese culture and driving high-quality growth in its tourism industry.

To ramp up the fun for locals and tourists alike during the break, Hohhot is leveraging its unique streets, folk traditions and natural beauty to offer a diverse range of cultural and tourism delights.

These will take place in various districts and at business enterprises, with highlights including performances such as the Joyous Chilechuan Grassland dance. What's more, there'll be urban camping to experience , interactive cultural events, large-scale mountain-themed performances and exhibitions showcasing historical cultures.

Additionally, there will be outdoor recreational activities, immersive performances, folk experience events, cultural exhibitions and themed celebrations. The city has also already started celebrating Cultural and Natural Heritage Day on June 6 and it runs on to June 19.
