Hohhot on June 10 celebrated Cultural and Natural Heritage Day with flare.

It did so with lively and vibrant events at Monishan Intangible Heritage Town, including traditional displays and its unique Dragon Boat Gathering performances.

The summer event marked the city's efforts to bring heritage into public spaces, social media and everyday life.

The Monishan Intangible Heritage Town featured over 30 heritage projects, where visitors could participate in hands-on experiences guided by heritage inheritors. A highlight was the debut of Monishan Praise, a live-action drama depicting the harmonious life and unity of local ethnic groups, attracting tourists like Wang Zhaorui from Beijing.

Monishan also serves as a creative hub, supporting heritage projects and providing local employment. Marketing Manager Hao Ning emphasized the town's role in promoting cultural education and innovation.

In addition to Monishan, Hohhot organized 120 cultural and tourism activities across the city. Popular spots like Yiquan district's Saishang Old Street were bustling with visitors. Shops displayed Mongolian leather carvings and silver handicraft items, blending traditional artistry with modern appeal.

These efforts were part of Hohhot's broader strategy to integrate culture and tourism, driving economic growth and enhancing the city's appeal. With the support of great policies and partnerships, Hohhot is widely said to be continuing to boost its cultural tourism sector, offering diverse and enriching experiences to all visitors.
