The Chilechuan International Prataculture Conference opened on July 13 in Hohhot, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Pratacultural science refers to the study of grassland agriculture, which is a branch of agricultural science. Knowledge-intensive prataculture is a highly comprehensive industrial system for creating material wealth with grasslands as the foundation.
The event brought together academicians, experts, research institutions and representatives from key enterprises to discuss the future of the grass industry and to foster industry cooperation.
Prominent attendees included academicians from Lanzhou University, the Northwest Institute of Eco-Environment and Resources, the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences & Engineering.
Other national and regional officials, as well as scholars from various universities, research institutes and industry associations, also attended.

The opening ceremony featured the launch of several key initiative – the "Wind Power, Photovoltaic + Desertification Control" integrated technology research and application project, the National Grass Industry Intellectual Property Operation Big Data Platform and the Grass Creation Center's international cooperation project.
The conference included four parallel exchange meetings and a full supply-chain grass industry achievements exhibition. The event aimed to implement national strategies for Inner Mongolia, emphasizing ecological priority and green development.
It sought to transform foundational and resource advantages into economic and developmental benefits, enhancing China's global influence in the grass industry.
