Hohhot wins honors at computing sector development conference
The 2024 High-Quality Computing Industry Ecology Development Conference, held recently in Beijing, brought good news for Hohhot – capital of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
The Hohhot Municipal Government and the Inner Mongolia Horinger New Area Administrative Committee were awarded the titles of Computing Industry Cluster Pioneer and Green Computing Development Pioneer, respectively.
During the event, the 2024 White Paper on China's Intelligent Computing Center Industry Development was released.
The launch ceremony for the Key Regional Computing Industry Annual Review and the Global Key Regional Computing Competitiveness Analysis Report also took place. In addition, regions excelling in the innovative and collaborative development of computing power received recognition.
Xu Yanguo, director of the Hohhot big data management bureau, delivered a keynote speech outlining the city's strengths in green computing and artificial intelligence.
These strengths included its advanced infrastructure, unique regional advantages, supportive policies and comprehensive computing power planning.
The accolades are viewed as underscoring Hohhot's progress in developing a next-generation information technology industry, with a focus on green computing and artificial intelligence.
