Hohhot unveils Inner Mongolia's first low-altitude economy academician workstation
The unveiling ceremony for the Inner Mongolia autonomous region's first low-altitude economy academician workstation and the signing of two strategic cooperation agreements were held on March 24 in Hohhot, gathering experts and scholars to exchange ideas and share experiences.
Academician Yan Chuliang of the Chinese Academy of Sciences stated, "The low-altitude economy will eventually expand into 11 industrial chains. The core characteristics of high-end industries are intelligence and automation. For Inner Mongolia, this means translating these into industry and economic development."
The low-altitude economy academician workstation will focus on regional technological innovation and industry development needs, targeting key application scenarios and addressing technical challenges in areas such as smart agricultural operations and low-altitude traffic safety.
The workstation will connect Hohhot's research institutions and enterprises, creating an innovation platform that integrates production, education, research, and application.
Professor Zhang Xuejun from Beihang University commented, "Academicians have their own teams and possess significant influence in the industry, along with intellectual, industrial, and technological resources. These can provide comprehensive support for the development of the low-altitude economy in Inner Mongolia."
Sun Weiguo, an expert from the China Civil Airports Association, noted, "The establishment of the academician workstation will bring substantial intellectual support to Inner Mongolia in developing the low-altitude economy and addressing transportation issues."
