Hohhot has implemented measures to lay a solid foundation for stable, year-round grain production and to vitalize rural industries.

In Horinger county, plastic film recycling machines operate amid high-standard farmland, completing underground pipe networks. Sprinkler irrigation equipment is also being inspected and maintained to create an optimal growth environment for the sown grass seeds.

Horinger has dispatched 28 agricultural technicians since the beginning of 2026, who have conducted 121 technical guidance sessions, resolving 68 issues farmers faced during spring farming. The county is also coordinating agricultural machinery resources by forming multiple professional operation teams to ensure unified scheduling and allocation.

For plastic film recycling machines, intelligent irrigation equipment, and other machinery, a 30-percent subsidy is applied to alleviate purchasing pressure on farmers. Horinger has distributed over 2.09 million yuan ($300,000) in agricultural machinery subsidies, benefiting 261 households and agricultural production organizations and subsidizing 353 sets of agricultural machinery.

Several smart agriculture devices have been installed at the blueberry planting base in Yuquan district's Houbentan village, including automatic greenhouse ventilators that adjust based on temperature and humidity and a water-and-fertilizer integration system to monitor soil moisture and nutrient content.
