Technology empowers transformation, upgrading of Hohhot's express industry
Since 2025, intelligent unmanned delivery vehicles have been navigating the streets of Hohhot – entering residential communities and pulling up at courier stations – bringing greater convenience to people's daily lives.

With these vehicles handling deliveries, some staff members can remain at the outlets to sort goods, saving both time and labor. Operations are also simple: users only need to enter the departure point, stopping points, and recipient's contact details into a mobile app, and the vehicle will automatically plan its route and complete the delivery.

According to reports, the vehicles can autonomously plan optimal delivery routes after departure and automatically alert staff members to unload upon arrival, improving logistics resource utilization. Each vehicle completes an average of five round trips a day, with the fleet's total daily mileage reaching 6,240 kilometers and daily parcel volume reaching 80,000 shipments. Unmanned operations have reduced the cost per shipment while boosting overall efficiency by 30 percent.

The vehicles are equipped with lidar and high-definition cameras, enabling 360-degree environmental monitoring within a 50-meter range to identify obstacles and avoid them. Vehicle operational data is traceable and controllable in real time, allowing remote takeover in emergencies, and enabling stable operations even under complex weather conditions.
Since 2025, SF Express outlets across Hohhot have deployed intelligent unmanned delivery vehicles, increasing service frequency and timeliness while reducing transportation costs compared to traditional methods.
