Hohhot launches market protection campaign
Hohhot's market supervision and administration department has launched an all-hours, multi-sector, full-chain market protection campaign to ensure public safety.
The department coordinated with the municipal inspection and testing center, local market supervision bureaus, and urban management departments to conduct inspections of incoming edible agricultural products at large agricultural wholesale markets.
To date, the department has completed 47,000 batches of rapid testing, identifying 17 batches of unqualified samples, all of which have been dealt with in accordance with the law.
The department also implemented dynamic management of restaurants. It strengthened the normalized "online monitoring + offline verification" supervision approach, focusing on licenses and qualifications, kitchen hygiene, and food storage conditions. At the same time, it promoted a shift in the regulatory model from retroactive punishment to proactive warning and intervention.

The department also launched a campaign against counterfeit and substandard meat products, strictly inspecting supply channels, inspection and quarantine certificates, and storage conditions.
Law enforcement officers inspected the operational status, maintenance records, and emergency communication devices of escalators and elevators in shopping malls. For large amusement facilities in scenic areas, they verified the validity of inspection certificates, the integrity of restraint devices, and whether operators held valid certificates.
