China Railway Hohhot Bureau Group has dispatched a cumulative total of 100.4 million metric tons of freight as of May 12 this year, representing a year-on-year increase of 3.2 percent.

Focusing on thermal coal supply assurance, the bureau has established a dedicated transportation task force and a regular communication mechanism with key coal enterprises to stay informed about coal mine output, power plant demand, and transportation capacity in a timely manner. It has also planned transportation solutions to further reduce transit time.

The bureau has signed integrated logistics contracts with over 50 key enterprises in Inner Mongolia autonomous region, securing an annual transport volume of 88.23 million tons, and signed 34 port-bound integrated logistics project contracts. This year, cumulative coal dispatch has reached 72.56 million tons, up 1 percent year-on-year.

The bureau has developed 23 rail-water intermodal operating routes, enabling goods such as steel, coke, and chemical products to be transported by rail from the region to seaports. Since the beginning of this year, it has operated a cumulative total of 324 multimodal transport trains, up 56.5 percent year-on-year, and 116 intercity trains, up 110.9 percent year-on-year.

Currently, 75 China-Europe Railway Express routes operate via the Erenhot railway port. This year, over 1,700 China-Europe railway express trains have passed through the port, up 16.8 percent year-on-year. Import and export freight volume at the port has exceeded 6.9 million tons, up 11.7 percent year-on-year.
