The 5th Cosmetics Industry Leaders Summit was held on Nov 10 in Beautéville, Wuxing district, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

During the summit, a series of key projects were signed worth a total of 10.5 billion yuan ($1.5 billion), and a supply chain platform for the cosmetics industry was officially launched.

Over 200 representatives from cosmetics companies and associations throughout the world attended the summit to participate in discussions on the development of the industry.

Luca Nava, general director of Cosmetica Italia, a personal care association in Italy, said that the association will help promote communication and cooperation between Italian and Chinese cosmetics companies.

Shi Genbao, deputy mayor of Huzhou in charge of commerce and investment promotion, hosted the opening ceremony of the summit and extended a warm welcome to attendees.

According to Shi, Beautéville, a national-level cosmetics production center established in 2015, is the permanent site of the Cosmetics Industry Leaders Summit – one of the largest cosmetics industry summits in the world.

The town has built a complete cosmetics industrial chain which covers research and development, manufacturing, logistics, and storage, among other areas, and has become an important cosmetics center in China since its establishment in 2015.
