Huzhou brings about China, France cooperation in new energy industry

Tianneng Group signed a new energy cooperation project with Saft Groupe SA at a meeting on Nov 6 in Beijing.

Tianneng, based in Changxing county, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province mainly focuses on providing batteries for electric vehicles.

Saft, a world-famous battery maker headquartered in France, is a subsidiary company of Total SA, a French multinational oil and gas company.

The two sides established a joint venture in Changxing county in order to promote the project, which focuses on the development, manufacturing and marketing of lithium batteries, battery modules and battery packs.

During the meeting, a number of other Chinese and French companies signed projects in aviation, nuclear energy, emergency management, cultural heritage, and environmental protection, among other areas.
