Nanxun ancient town enjoys a history of more than 700 years. Many ancient houses, gardens and other ancient buildings are well preserved, such as Little Lotus Villa and Jiaye Library. Bridges run over rippling rivers and white walls form an authentic landscape. The harmony of culture and natural scenery make the ancient town fascinating. It was listed as a national 5A scenic spot in 2015.

Little Lotus Villa, also known as Liu's Family, is the private garden of Liu Yong, a wealthy Qing official. The rippling pond and the winding path create a relaxing atmosphere. Within the garden, there are some elaborately carved stone gates and a small family shrine.

Jiaye Library once was one of the largest private libraries in Southeast China. It collected more than 30,000 books. The library is surrounded by a, pavilions, corridors and a lake with lotus. The main features of a private garden are presented well here.
