A 10-member comprehensive law enforcement team, the members of which are all women, was officially established in Wuxing district, Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on March 8 to celebrate International Women's Day. This is the first law enforcement team of its kind in the city, officials said.
"Women can resolve conflicts gently, so we decided to establish a female team for comprehensive law enforcement," said an official at the Wuxing district bureau of administrative enforcement.
The team, with an average age of 30, includes members of the Communist Party of China, university graduates, former servicewomen and experienced law enforcement officers.
The team is in charge of a large area covering two communities, two commercial complexes, five roads and 340 stores, and is required to resolve various kinds of conflicts.
