Huzhou invests $110 million overseas

Enterprises in Huzhou, Zhejiang province invested over $110 million yuan in 16 overseas projects, up 14.46 percent and 60 percent respectively, local media reported from the municipal commerce bureau on May 15.

Nine of the projects are in countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, attracting over $60 million in investment.

Most of the investors are from Anji and Deqing counties. Deqing-based enterprises in particular contributed paid-in capital exceeding $44 million, up 391.6 percent year on year.

Anji-based 33UE Furniture Co completed the acquisition of Vietnam-based DSVK Industries Co for $35 million and will support its global supply chain with a larger Vietnamese factory.
