Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province inaugurated an alliance consisting of intangible cultural heritage inheritors and model workers on June 1, according to local media reports.

The alliance is the first cross-regional and cross-industry innovation alliance in the province.

Its establishment comes as part of efforts by local authorities to facilitate resource sharing between local artisans and promote local intangible cultural heritage.

More than 20 inheritors attended the alliance's plate-unveiling ceremony, pledging to uphold the alliance's development principles of "inheritance, innovation, reciprocity and sharing", strengthen cooperation and coordinate efforts to foster talent and preserve intangible cultural heritage skills.

To date, Huzhou has established 150 studios for highly skilled workers (model workers) at or above the municipal level, official data show.
