Mogan Mountain Scenic Area and the "Two Mountains" Scenic Area were recently included in a Zhejiang provincial pilot program to build future scenic areas.

A total of 10 scenic areas from the province made the list, including two from Huzhou, more than any other city.

Support will be offered to 10 candidates looking to improve business patterns, increase cultural and tourism integration, develop smart tourism, reform institutions, and more, so as to transform them into models for the development of high-quality tourism in the province.

Mogan Mountain Scenic Area

Mogan Mountain is a mountain located in Deqing County, Huzhou. It is a national 4A scenic area, the second highest level in China's grading system for scenic areas. It is known for its cool temperatures during summer and its old villas built in the early 20th century.

The scenic area receives about 1.5 million visitors annually.

"Two Mountains" Scenic Area

The "Two Mountains" Scenic Area is located in southern Anji county, Huzhou and on the north side of Tianmu Mountain. It covers an area of roughly four square kilometers and is a 4A scenic spot.

It is where the "Two Mountains" theory – which states that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets – was first proposed.
