Nanxun district of Huzhou was recently included as part of a provincial pilot program to construct a number of rural industrial development demonstration counties (districts).

A total of 15 counties and districts from the province made the list, each of which will be granted 80 million yuan ($11.59 million) in financial support. 

The counties and districts are set to take a leading role in facilitating agricultural digitalization and institutional innovation in the province. 

Efforts will be made to construct digital agricultural plants, with the application of information technologies such as cloud computing, Internet of Things, big data, artificial intelligence and more. 

Pollution control and prevention efforts will also be stepped up, and integration with urban areas will be explored.
