A German delegation, led by Christine D. Althauser, consul-general of Germany in Shanghai, visited Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province on Sept 11 to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation with the Chinese city.

Wang Gang, mayor of Huzhou, welcomed the delegation and briefed the German guests on the city's developments from various perspectives.

He expressed his hope that the German delegation could gain a better understanding of Huzhou from the visit and help introduce the city to more German companies that are seeking development opportunities in China.

While in Huzhou, the delegation visited three German companies, as well as some culture and tourism projects in the city.

Althauser said that Huzhou's good ecology, profound culture and convenient transport facilities impressed her. When visiting German companies in Huzhou, she learned about the business climate and government services in the city, which consolidated her confidence in deepening cooperation with Huzhou.
