Changxing offers free COVID-19 vaccines

Huzhou's Changxing county has begun giving free COVID-19 vaccines to residents.

Residents are required to register their personal information and make a reservation online via Alipay or Zheliban, an online administrative service platform in Zhejiang, before beginning vaccination.

The inoculation afterwards can be done at any community medical institution or designated hospital nearby with residents bringing their identity cards.

Vaccinations are now available to people over 18 years old, with no restriction on household registration.

For those aged below 18, compatriots from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan, overseas Chinese, as well as foreigners, vaccinations will be carried out in the future depending on progress in vaccine research and development, as well as on clinical trial results.

The COVID-19 vaccine consists of two doses and the interval between receiving the two doses ranges from 14 to 28 days.

The recipients of the vaccine should stay for a 30-minute observation after the inoculation to make sure that they don't have any adverse reactions.

On top of Changxing, the cities including Shaoxing and Wenzhou in Zhejiang has also rolled out free COVID-19 vaccines.
