Places to escape summer heat in Huzhou
Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area
Jiangnan Tianchi Scenic Area is a national 4A scenic spot located about 1,000 meter above sea level. The low temperature and cool air makes it an excellent place to visit in summer. An integral part of the scenic spot is Tianhuangping Pumped Storage Power Plant, which is the largest of its kind in Asia and worth visiting.
Lingfeng Mountain
Linfeng Mountain's high afforestation rate makes it a popular place for people to go hiking in the summer without feeling overheated. The 4-kilometer hiking route erected on the mountain passes numerous attractions.
Liangxi Forest Park
Liangxi Forest Park is another place to escape the summer heat in Huzhou. The park was built in June 1988 in memory of Liang Xi, a famous forestry scientist and the first forestry minister of the People's Republic of China. It covers a total area of 739 mu (49.2 hectares) and offers captivating scenery all year round.
Xiamu Mountain
With an altitude of 408 meters, Xiamu Mountain is the highest mountain in Huzhou, with a forest coverage rate of more than 80 percent. It is also part of the Tianmu Mountain Range.
