Residents from Taojiawan village, Jiapu town, Huzhou's Changxing county were recently busy harvesting fish for the upcoming Spring Festival.

Located on the southwest bank of Taihu Lake, the third largest freshwater lake in China, Taojiawan is home to an abundance of fish.

The flourishing aquaculture in the village has increased the income of local low-income farmers and boosted the growth of its collective economy.
