Located at the junction of Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Anhui provinces, Xianshan Lake belongs to the Taihu Lake water system. Featuring an excellent ecological environment, the lake is a haven for nearly 100 species of birds and a source of creative inspiration for humans.
For example, Chen Runxiang, a security guard at Xianshan Lake Wetland Park in Huzhou's Changxing county, has created over 200 poems related to these birds since 2014.
This year, during the annual Bird-loving Week in Zhejiang province from April 10 to 16, Chen shared his creations with children in the wetland park as part of efforts to raise public awareness about bird protection.
The 57-year-old is a poetry lover who has written more than 2,000 poems over more than two decades.
