The following are some of the best places in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, to view lotus flowers.
Lianhua Mansion
The park of Lianhua Mansion is an excellent place to enjoy lotus blossoms. The mansion was built by Zhao Mengfu (1254-1322), a renowned Chinese scholar, painter and calligrapher during the Yuan Dynasty (1271–1368).
Feiying Park
Originally built in the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Feiying Tower, located in the Feiying Park, is listed among the three wonders in Huzhou due to its unique structure which features a larger tower embedded with a smaller one. The vast strech of lotus blossoms in the park is also something visitors shouldn't miss.
Lyushan Lotus Expo Garden
The Lyushan Lotus Expo Garden in Huzhou's Changxing county has more than 200 varieties of lotus that span 330 mu (22 hectares).
Xiazhuhu National Wetland Park
The Xiazhuhu National Wetland Park is a national 4A scenic spot and a national wetland park located in the suburbs of Deqing county, Huzhou. It has been listed among the top 50 must-visit scenic areas in Zhejiang.
A sprawling 400-mu-plus lotus pond, fir trees and egrets provide visitors with an enchanting summer view.
Other places where people can enjoy scenes of lotus blossoms in Huzhou include Changdao Park, Gucheng village, Jinxianghu Park and Xianshanhu Park.
