3 Huzhou villages recognized provincially for tourism development

Three villages in Huzhou were recently listed as candidates for the first batch of Gold 3A Scenic Villages in Zhejiang, according to a notice released by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

Yucun village

Located in Tianhuangping town, Anji county, Yucun village is known as the cradle of the concept "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets". Last December, Yucun was honored as one of the "Best Tourism Villages" in 2021 at the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly.

Miaoshan village

Miaoshan village is located 150 kilometers east of Shanghai and 90 kilometers south of Hangzhou. The village is situated in the center of the Xisai Mountain Tourist Resort, a provincial level tourist resort.

Administered by Miaoxi town in Wuxing district, the village is currently home to a number of homestays and hotels and a giraffe zoo.

Guzhu village

Located in Shuikou township, Changxing county, Guzhu village is renowned for Zisun tea, which was a used as a tribute to the emperor during the Tang Dynasty (618-907). The tea was hailed as the best tea by Lu Yu in The Classic of Tea, which is said to be the world's first monograph on tea culture.
