10 years on: Huzhou makes strides in optimizing business climate

Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has over the last decade made concerted efforts to improve the ease of doing business in the city.
One significant measure taken by the city is facilitating the digitalization of administrative services. Today, more than 97 percent of government services are accessible online while over 93 percent can be handled via mobile phones.
Additionally, business owners in the city can complete all procedures required for the approval of their operations in just a day.
Huzhou has also established a green channel for entrepreneurs to offer suggestions or lodge complaints.
At least three roundtable meetings for non-public enterprises are held in the city annually.
The improved business climate has greatly boosted local market vitality. Over the past decade, the number of market entities in Huzhou has increased by 288,170, bringing the total number in the city to 489,956.
