The green development path that Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province has stuck to has yielded fruitful results over the past decade.

The public satisfaction rate toward local ecology and the environment rose from 61.13 points in 2012 to 87.24 points in 2021, local authorities said.

In 2014, Huzhou became the nation's first municipal demonstration zone for ecological civilization. A year later, the city designated Aug 15 as the city's "ecological civilization day".

In 2016, Huzhou was conferred the honorary title of "National Ecological City", and become the first prefecture-level city in the nation to have all its administrative areas win the honor.

In 2017, the city was included in the national pilot program for green finance reform.

One year later, Huzhou hosted the third International Rural Tourism Conference.

In 2021, Huzhou's accomplishments in the reform and innovation of the ecological civilization system were recognized by the State Council.

This year, it received approval from the State Council to build a national demonstration zone for the sustainable development of agenda innovation.

In August, the 2022 China Green Low Carbon Innovation Conference was held in Huzhou.
