Huzhou's online retail sales near 80b yuan Jan-Oct

Official statistics from the Huzhou Municipal Bureau of Commerce show that the city's online retail sales hit 79.93 billion yuan ($11.42 billion) in the first 10 months of this year, rising by 13.5 percent year-on-year.
The growth rate was ranked fourth in East China's Zhejiang province.
Meanwhile, online consumption from local residents amounted to 45.99 billion yuan, a yearly uptick of 9.7 percent, the highest in the province.
The city's Changxing district retained its leading role in online retail sales. The district's online retail sales volume was worth 40.77 billion yuan during the 10-month period and accounted for 51 percent of the city's total.
Deqing county had the fastest growth rate - 31.3 percent year-on-year - in online retail sales in Huzhou during the period.
From January to October, Huzhou's cross-border e-commerce transaction volume was valued at 25.77 billion yuan, 2.7 times that of the same period last year, and 17.7 percentage points higher than the target set for this year.
Presently, there are 1,243 cross-border e-commerce enterprises in Huzhou, accounting for nearly one-third of the city's exporting enterprises.
