Two ski resorts –Skyland Starry Sky Ski Field and Jiangnantianchi Ski Field – in Huzhou's Anji county reopened to visitors on Dec 3.

The former received 1,500 visitors on the first day of opening. The 200,000-square-meter ski field can accommodate a maximum of 20,000 people.

The resort has increased the number of instructors to 300 this year to better cater to the demand for lessons. It will also open a new snow playground for children that covers nearly 20,000 square meters at the end of December.

Over at the 60,000-sq-m Jiangnantianchi Ski Field, tourists can choose from an advanced skiing area, an intermediate area, and an elementary area. There is also a hot spring that visitors can enjoy.

The ski season, which usually lasts from December to March, is expected to inject new vitality into the local catering and homestay industries, according to the head official of the Anji bureau of culture, sports and tourism.
