Huzhou secured two deals at the inaugural Global Digital Trade Expo, which was held in Hangzhou, capital city of East China's Zhejiang province, from Dec 11-14.

The first is a 1-billion-yuan ($142.86 million) project by NaaS Technology Inc, a pure play electric vehicle charging service company. The project is expected to generate an annual output value of 1 billion yuan after it is launched in Huzhou's Anji county.

The other deal reached by Huzhou is the Yangtze River Delta Digital Twin Innovation Laboratory, which will be co-built with Wuhan University. A digital twin is a virtual model designed to accurately reflect a physical object.

The two are among the 89 deals with a combined investment value of 110 billion yuan signed by Fortune Global 500 companies and industrial heavyweights in the digital trade segment on the sidelines of the expo.

The four-day event attracted participants from more than 50 countries worldwide, with 315 products making their debut, according to the organizers.
