The Anji Ancient City Archaeological Site Park recently made the list of the fourth group of 19 national archaeological site park released by the National Cultural Heritage Administration.

The park in Anji county is the first national archaeological site park in Huzhou and the fourth one in Zhejiang province.

It is also China's first national archaeological site park that uses private capital for the protection and utilization of cultural relics.

The park has since opening one year ago received nearly 120,000 visitors and generated more than 20 million yuan ($2.86 million) in revenue.

Authorities aim to develop the park into a large-scale complex that integrates culture, tourism, research and education and outdoor sports.
