Twenty-seven scenic attractions in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province will be free to enter every Friday in the first quarter of 2023, local authorities announced recently.

The campaign, which will see 27 scenic spots at national 4A level or above be opened to the public for free, comes as part of authorities' efforts to revive the local culture and tourism sector.

The scenic spots involved include State-owned ones including Nanxun Ancient Town, Mount Mogan and Changxing Golden Nail Geological Museum, as well as some private ones like Yuanxiang Holiday Village and ZhongNanBaiCaoYuan.

Tourists have to make a reservation online via platforms like Nantaihuhao, an app backed by the government, and the official WeChat account of the local culture and tourism bureau.

Visitors will still have to pay for cable car rides, travel guides, parking, as well as other leisure and entertainment services they use during their visit to these scenic spots.
