Huzhou will remain as the main venue for the Zhejiang football team, which plays in the Chinese Super League, for the following two seasons.

According to the agreement reached by the Zhejiang Professional Football Club and the Huzhou Municipal People's Government on Jan 10, the Huzhou Olympic Sports Center's main stadium will become the home field for the Zhejiang team in 2023 and 2024, and the club will help the city with the cultivation of youth football talents.

Huzhou was designated as the home venue for the Zhejiang football team during the 2020-2022 seasons.

In 2022, Zhejiang finished third in the CSL - the best performance achieved by the team to date. This achievement also saw the team qualify for the play-off of the Asian Champions League.
