Deqing included in national leisure agriculture program

Huzhou's Deqing county was recently included in a national program for the development of leisure agriculture, local media reported.

Deqing was listed among the 60 national key counties (county-level cites or districts) for leisure agriculture in 2022 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs.

In recent years, Deqing has been adhering to the development road mapped out by the concept which states "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", while sustaining its efforts in pursuing the integrated development of its primary, secondary, and tertiary industries.

The county is currently home to three national-level leisure villages, four provincial-level leisure villages, and six provincial-level agritainment villages, official statistics show.

Laoling village in Moganshan town, Deqing county is famous for its highly-developed leisure agriculture, allowing tourists to experience a rustic rural lifestyle through activities like admiring flowers, fishing, and fruit picking. It was listed among the 15 must-visit places in China by CNN, which featured world-famous attractions like the Great Wall.
