Best places to admire plum blossoms in Huzhou

Plum blossoms have recently entered their flowering period in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Oriental Plum Garden

The Oriental Plum Garden situated in Longshan sub-district, Changxing county, Huzhou has more than 20 varieties of over 30,000 plum trees, covering an area of over 300-plus mu (20 hectares).

The number of visitors to the garden has increased to over 20,000 per day since the start of flowering season. The best time to admire the blossoms is around March 25, with several varieties blooming until the end of March to mid-April.

Yuanxiang Small Town

Yuanxiang Small Town, a scenic spot located in Huzhou's Wuxing district, covers a total area of 1,480 mu. It is home to Asia's largest butterfly museum, as well as a plum garden spanning 1,000 mu.

In the plum garden, twelve pavilions and a 4.8-km trail have been established for visitors to admire the flowers.

Liang Xi Forest Park

Located 6 kilometers south of urban Huzhou, Liang Xi Forest Park was built in June 1988 in memory of Liang Xi, a famous forestry scientist and the first forestry minister of the People's Republic of China.

The park covers a total area of 739 mu and offers captivating scenery year-round, including plum blossoms in spring.

Other Places, such as  Xuefu Temple, Feiying Park, Zhaxi Park, Fenghuang Park, Renhuang Mountain Scenic Spot, and Qianshan Park, are also great for admiring plum flowers.
