A group of students from Huzhou's Wuxing district made kites on March 13 to welcome the upcoming 19th Asian Games, which kicked off its 200-day countdown on March 7.
Patterns related to the Games, including its emblem and mascots, were drawn on the kites under the guidance of Jin Yueqiang, a local kite artisan.
Zhu Liufang, Party chief of the Yuehe sub-district in Wuxing district, said more activities themed on the Asian Games will be held to let more people learn about the sporting showpiece.
As a co-host city of the Asian Games, Huzhou will host the women's volleyball events and 3-on-3 basketball competitions.
