Around 200 runners participated in a relay race held on April 22 in Deqing county, Huzhou city in East China's Zhejiang province, one of the venues for the Hangzhou Asian Games, local media reported.

The event was organized by the Zhejiang Marathon Association to "welcome the Asian Games and run in the Asian Games venues".

The relay race was held at six venues for the Hangzhou Asian Games in different cities, with each section being 9.23 kilometers long. The Hangzhou Asian Games will open on Sept 23, and Huzhou is the last stop in the relay race.

The six venues are located across six Asian Games co-host cities in the province: Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, Ningbo, Wenzhou, Huzhou, Shaoxing and Jinhua. The entire activity involved 2,022 runners.

The event allows runners in Zhejiang to get a feel for the Asian Games venues and warm up for the Games.
