Twenty-one Huzhou-based companies arrived in Thailand on April 23 to participate in the 35th Architect Expo, which will take place from April 25 to 30.

The expo is one of the best-known building materials and interior decoration exhibitions in ASEAN and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.

The products exhibited by Huzhou companies will include various types of wooden flooring, wood-plastic materials, bamboo-wood products, and door and window accessories.

One of the participating companies is Zhejiang Dadongwu Green Home Wood Industry Co Ltd, which is hoping to gain new leads to expanding its clientele from Southeast Asia, said a company representative.

Thailand, one of the member countries of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership, is an important market for Huzhou's foreign trade development.

Huzhou's exports to Thailand were worth 1.09 billion ($158 million), a year-on-year increase of 29 percent, in the first quarter of this year.
