Huzhou's per capita disposable income exceeds 20,000 yuan in Q1

Huzhou's overall per capita disposable income in the first quarter of this year rose 4.8 percent year-on-year to 20,339 yuan ($2,940.18), according to official data from the Huzhou branch of the National Bureau of Statistics.

Specifically, the per capita disposable income of the city's urban residents jumped 4.1 percent to 23,654 yuan, while the figure for rural residents was 15,181 yuan, up 6.3 percent year-on-year.

Wage is still the biggest source of income for residents in Huzhou, followed by net operating income, net transfer income, and net asset income.

Over the same period, the city's per capita consumption amounted to 10,107 yuan, up 5.1 percent year-on-year.

Its urban residents spent an average of 10,928 yuan during the three-month period, up 4.3 percent, while their rural counterparts' per capita consumption grew 6.5 percent year-on-year to 8,828 yuan.
