No fewer than 3,500 graduates from over 100 colleges, including Zhejiang University, Hohai University and Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, attended a job fair held in Huzhou's Anji county on April 26.

Nearly 1,800 of them inked intended employment agreements at the fair, which was attended by more than 480 companies and public institutions offering 5,000-plus jobs mainly related to tourism, green home, healthcare and new materials.

Fresh college graduates participating in the fair were offered subsidies ranging from 300 to 1,500 yuan ($216.71) to cover their transportation costs and a one-night stay at designated hotels, said Xia Nan, a local official.

Those who get employed will also be granted a monthly subsidy ranging from 1,200 to 4,500 yuan for two years. College graduates who start businesses in the county can apply for a monthly allowance of up to 6,700 yuan, according to Xia.

The fair was held as part of a recruitment campaign by the local government aimed at bringing in 100,000 young talents to the county.

That same day, Anji authorities signed strategic cooperation agreements with five colleges, including Hangzhou Dianzi University, Anhui University of Technology and Xinxiang University.
