China's shooting trio of Huang Yuting, Han Jiayu, and Wang Zhilin achieved a remarkable feat by winning the gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event at the 19th Asian Games on Sept 24.

The victory is significant as it marks China's first gold medal in the shooting event at the Games. What makes it even more extraordinary is that all three young women hail from Zhejiang province and were born after 2000.

Han Jiayu, born in 2001, began her shooting journey in 2013. Hailing from Huzhou's Wuxing district, she recently triumphed in the women's 10m air rifle individual event at the 2023 ISSF World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Earlier this year, she also secured the gold medal in the same event at the 2023 ISSF Shooting World Cup in Baku.

At the Hangzhou Asian Games, Han Jiayu is set to compete in the 50m rifle 3 positions event as well, further highlighting her exceptional skills and potential.
