The Chinese shooting team, consisting of Han Jiayu, Zhang Qiongyue and Xia Siyu, clinched the gold medal in the women's 50m rifle three positions team event at the 19th Asian Games on Sept 27.

Han Jiayu, a standout performer from Huzhou in Zhejiang province, played a crucial role in the team's success. With this win, Han Jiayu has now amassed an impressive collection of two gold medals and one silver medal at the Asian Games.

Earlier in the competition, the Chinese trio of Huang Yuting, Han Jiayu, and Wang Zhilin secured the gold medal in the women's 10m air rifle team event. Han Jiayu also demonstrated her exceptional skills in the women's 10m air rifle individual event, where she earned the silver medal.

Han Jiayu, born in 2001, began her shooting journey in 2013. She recently triumphed in the women's 10m air rifle individual event at the 2023 ISSF World Championships held in Baku, Azerbaijan. Earlier this year, she also secured the gold medal in the same event at the 2023 ISSF Shooting World Cup in Baku.
