3 Huzhou athletes to compete at Asian Para Games

Three athletes from Huzhou in East China's Zhejiang province have been chosen to represent China at the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Para Games, according to the Huzhou Disabled Persons' Federation. 

The Chinese sports delegation for the Asian Para Games, which will take place from Oct 22 to 28, encompasses a total of 439 athletes, including 221 males and 218 females.

Athletes Jiang Jijian, Wu Yunlong, and Li Ji are from Huzhou and will be competing in the archery and rowing events.

Jiang Jijian, who was born in 1992, is from Qianyuan town in Huzhou's Deqing county. Over the past few years, he has achieved great success, securing the championship in the Asian Rowing Championships and winning a bronze medal in the mixed doubles rowing event at the Tokyo Paralympic Games.

Wu Yunlong, a native of Xiaopu town in Changxing county, began participating in para-rowing training in April 2010. He achieved fourth place in rowing at the London Paralympic Games and sixth place at the Rio Paralympic Games. He has also been victorious in numerous national para-rowing competitions, earning a total of 10 gold medals.

Li Ji was selected to join the Zhejiang provincial para-archery team in September 2013. Since then, he has successfully become a part of the national team and represented China in the Jakarta Asian Para Games, where he claimed a gold medal in the W1 mixed team event and a silver medal in the men's W1 individual elimination event.
